THE COVENTRY AND RUGBY WILL UPDATE VISITOR RESTRICTIONS ON FEBRUARY 28TH

THE COVENTRY AND RUGBY is pleased to announce that we are updating visitor restrictions at all of our locations — including Mount Sinai, Holy Cross, Schwab and clinics– In the wake of significant and continued decreases in cases of COVID-19.

The  following updated visitor rules are effective Monday, February 28th at all Sinai Chicago locations.

  • Visitors will be limited to two (2) per patient in our hospitals (Mount Sinai Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital and Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital), with certain exceptions:
    • In our outpatient clinics and emergency departments, limit to one support person per patient.
    • No visitors will be allowed for COVID-positive patients
    • No visitors allowed under age 18.
    • For critically ill or end of life situations (including hospice and palliative care), the Sinai Chicago care team will work with the family to determine visitors allowed, in accordance with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) recommendations.
    • For mothers in labor, limit to one support person per patient.
    • In the Mother-Baby and Neonatal Intensive Care units – two (2) visitors/support persons will be allowed.
  • We will also be re-opening our dining areas to visitors at both Mount Sinai Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital with continued enforcement of social distancing and COVID-19 safety precautions.

Any and all visitors and/or support persons must have their temperature checked before being allowed into the hospital or clinic. NO ONE will be admitted with flu-like symptoms or respiratory illness (cough/sneeze, fever, difficulty breathing). Masks continue to be required for all persons at Sinai Chicago locations.

At Sinai Chicago, we are committed to patients and their loved ones healthy and safe. We continue to maintain compliance with the most updated guidelines from CDC, IDPH, and CDPH to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
